Biography

Kate Kemper (she/her/hers) is an Education Program Manager in the Center for Service Learning at the University of Kansas. She focuses on individual student and student service organization development, civic engagement programming, and communication of CSL programs, resources, and other relevant opportunities. Kate leads the CSL's Civic Engagement Ambassador program and serves as a staff advisor on behalf of the CSL for five student service organizations.

Before coming to KU, she spent a year serving as a Green Iowa AmeriCorps member in Des Moines, Iowa.

Kate enjoys working in service learning because it is a valuable space and opportunity for students to put into practice the concepts they learn in the classroom, and critically reflect on their own identities, experiences, and perspectives on societal issues and community-created solutions.
