Biography

Alyssa Crawford is a first-year graduate student studying Computer Science at the University of Kansas, with a concentration in data science, bioinformatics, and machine learning. They currently serve as the Graduate Student Hourly for the Center for Service Learning at the University of Kansas. Alyssa also acts as the Public Relations & Marketing Chair for the Graduate Engineering Association. 

Alyssa graduated with a Computer Science B.S. degree from the University of Arizona in 2023, and served in various technical & programming-based education roles before coming to KU. They are interested in the multidisciplinary and public-interest applications of data science, technology, and programming, and their underlying ethics.
