October 4, 2022 — LAWRENCE — Traditionally, voter registration and turnout is higher in presidential election years compared with midterm years. However, the University of Kansas’ 2014, 2018 and 2020 consolidated report from the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE) indicates an upward trend in student voter registration and turnout for midterm years 2014 and 2018.
Tuesday Marks National Voter Registration Day
September 20, 2022 — Kansas City, Kansas — Forty-nine days away from Election Day and voters are getting a reminder about registering to vote on National Voter Registration Day. The biggest takeaway for voters in both Kansas and Missouri is to know where you will be voting in the general election, and when that registration deadline is for where you live.
